The Colico company was founded in Brianza in 1920. It is precisely in this period that, in this land of artisan workshops, the furniture industry developed. A family-run business, Colico has a great strength: the ability to perceive people’s real needs.

After the war, the Colico family’s dream of growing the company led them to move to Varedo, near Milan. It was in the 1960s, however, that the Colico business began to develop. The style of the furniture, strictly traditional, is loved by the public.

In the same years, the company’s sudden growth pushed the Colico family to look for the best materials, which they found in Friuli Venezia Giulia. At the same time, the production department remained in Brianza. In the ’70s, a new production centre was opened in Friuli, essential to cope with the increasing market demands.

A new leap forward was made in the ’80s when Walter Colico begins to work for the family business. Thanks to his farsightedness, the company opened up more and more to the world of design and the international market. In 1982 Colico Design was born.

With the arrival of the new millennium, Colico Design begins to collaborate with young architects and designers worldwide, who bring a breath of modernity to the brand. The products become more and more commercial and attractive to those who love a more innovative style and less tied to the history of our country, which is not neglected, but, if anything, integrated with modern taste.
