Born from the entrepreneurial project of Alessandro Isola, designer, and Fabio Setten, an entrepreneur with long experience in the furniture industry, as well as CEO of Record è Cucine, theCut is a new and young brand that has revolutionized the way we understand the kitchen, both in terms of environment and interior design.

The main concepts of all the projects designed by theCut are craftsmanship and modularity. The company stands out for the sartorial nature of its production, based not only on top-quality materials and obsessive attention to detail, which make theCut kitchens resistant and beautiful, but also on the highly personalized configuration of the proposals, which are adapted to the needs of both the spaces in which they are installed and the tastes of the customers.

Great attention is also paid to the functionality of the projects, true masterpieces of domestic engineering, according to Alessandro Isola. In fact, according to theCut, furnishings must enrich every aspect of the life of those who welcome them into their homes and improve its quality.

Since its debut on the furniture and interior design scene, theCut has received exceptional feedback from industry professionals and the market. In 2015, when the brand launched, theCut won the Architizer A+Award in the kitchens category, the most important international competition that promotes architecture and rewards the best products.

Pellegrinelli Arreda and the Ego kitchen by theCut

TheCut kitchens are composed of individual elements that come together to give life to a design project that is coherent from an aesthetic and functional point of view.

The most representative model created by the company is Ego. The basic concept behind this kitchen is the parallelepiped, a very simple shape that the designers have made complex through a game of layering.

Essential parts of the composition are the sliding table and the mobile wall units

The first is designed to assume different positions depending on the functions: with standard projection, the table is an excellent solution for breakfast or quick runs in the kitchen; with a projection of 1 meter it becomes the ideal table for everyday lunches and dinners; extended up to 2 meters or rotated by 90° it is perfect for accommodating five or more people.

theCut reinvents the concept of wall units and makes these components, essential in every kitchen, even more practical. Thanks to sensors and metal guides, the wall units move and are illuminated by hidden LEDs to make kitchen activities even more enjoyable. And to avoid accidents, all the shelves are equipped with small barriers that prevent objects from falling.

The kitchen also consists of multi-tasking modular solutions made of metal, which give solidity and elegance to the proposal. Their design makes them perfect for every corner of the kitchen, as full-wall elements, dividing columns or simple open wall units.

As in all areas, it is the details that make the difference in kitchens. Another touch of class and originality is represented by the equipped channels, hollow elements obtained between the various parts that allow you to recover space and add personality and practicality to the composition.

The attention paid by the brand in creating the perfect kitchen is also evident in the refinement of the shapes. There are no visible thicknesses, but only pure volumes and the impeccable union between tops, openings and sides, achieved through the implementation of only 45° cut corners.

With Ego, theCut thinks of everything: the kitchen is equipped with made-to-measure wooden accessories. From the internal equipment of the drawers to the elements for organizing and containing, everything is designed to give life to a kitchen that is consistent with the company’s vision, namely a refined and functional composition.

And what about the materials? All carefully selected and processed to make them perfect for creating modern and sophisticated environments, there are many available. Whether it’s veneered or melamine-faced wood, lacquered or HPL laminate, what they all have in common, in addition to quality, are neutral and soft colours, to be combined in elegant tone-on-tone palettes.
